Mockingbirds Rebuff Pandas, 4-3

The Memphis Mockingbirds did just enough to sneak past the Montana Pandas, 4-3, at Magnolia Park. Memphis pitcher Noud Taaij, in particular, had a standout performance. Montana has now lost 5 straight.
Lee Lee had a big run-scoring double for the Mockingbirds in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Memphis leading 3-0 and a runner on 2nd, he got a cutter from 23-year old right-handed pitcher Roberto Becerra and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 7th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Mockingbirds ahead, 4-0.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Montana manager Andrew Schupick.
