The Eugene Vandals and Cut Off Crawdads played an entertaining game for The Riot Zone patrons.

Tom Wood was a major contributor to the 6-5 Eugene win over Cut Off. The Vandals center fielder went 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The save went to Jeff Rodríguez, number 23 for him.

The Vandals got a big at-bat from right fielder Li-ping Niu. For the game, Niu went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with the bases loaded, he stroked a grand slam home run. His 17th home run of the season gave Eugene a 4-0 lead.

"Anytime you're seeing it well, it's a good feeling," Wood told the Eugene Herald.

The setback makes Cut Off 48-47.
