Behind a fine performance from Carl Flowers, the Amarillo Warheads knocked off the Ogallala Octopi, 9-4. Flowers was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Warheads. Hal Gaines got the win, improving to 3-0. He held the Octopi to 3 runs on 5 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 1. The slumping Octopi have lost 6 straight.
