The Zoo was the site for USPL Low A action featuring the Redwood Rhinos and Crowley Cajuns.

Despite a great performance by Redwood second baseman Juan Vásquez, the Crowley Cajuns defeated the Rhinos by the score of 8-6 at The Zoo. Vásquez was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The Cajuns, at 16-9, lead by one game in their division.

In the top of the seventh, Crowley center fielder David Young had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Young stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 8-6, Crowley. For the game, he was 2 for 5 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager Bill Wallace.
