Riding the 2-hit performance of the 22-year old shortstop Lao-che Zhu, the Walla Walla Walleye stopped the Chicago Tula, 10-2, in 9 innings. Allen Wagner got the win, improving to 7-8. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 8 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 2. Alejandro Martínes got the save, his 3rd in 3 chances.

The Tula had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Walleye going into the top of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 20-year old first baseman Raúl Morán came to the plate. Morán hit a 2-run double on a first pitch forkball from Chicago hurler Xing-fu Weng. It was Morán's 3rd double of the year.

Chicago manager Don Pokorski called the blowout loss "a real stinker."
