Adams Homers Twice in 6-5 Bush Pilots Win
|
Bush Pilots Park was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Alaskan Bush Pilots and South Beach Blaze.
Led by Dave Adams, the Alaskan Bush Pilots defeated the South Beach Blaze, 6-5. Adams went 3 for 3 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for the Bush Pilots. The win was credited to Rusty Oomsen in relief. His record improves to 4-5. Floyd Seymour took the loss. Jim Carter earned the save for Alaskan, his 18th of the year.
Adams had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 0-2 curveball from Floyd Seymour, he banged a solo home run to left-center, giving the Bush Pilots a 6-5 lead. It was the 9th home run of the year for Adams.
In postgame comments to the Alaskan Daily, Adams said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
Today's win puts Alaskan at 46-49, while South Beach falls to 56-39.
