The Redwood Rhinos claimed a close win over the Fort Knox Centennial, due in large part to Pedro Corona. The Redwood right-hander pitched a great game to secure the 2-0 win. With the win, Redwood upped its record to 16-10.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Rhinos had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the sixth, when center fielder Tom Wood hit a run-scoring single. The single came off George Young and made the score 1-0, Rhinos. Wood went 1 for 3 with a walk.

"I was able to really locate my pitches tonight," said Corona.
