Fans watched the Hicksville Hounds and the Fort Knox Centennial fight to the finish.

Hicksville starter Dong-hua Wang pitched well against the Fort Knox Centennial at Ballpark of Baxter. The left-hander led his team to a win, 4-3. The 8th-place Hounds lifted their record to 10-16.

Mike Evans, not known for his power, had a big at-bat with no one out in the top of the sixth. That's when he connected on a curveball from Elmer Cullum for a solo home run. His 4th home run of the season put Hicksville in front, 3-2.

After the game, Hicksville manager Art Manning applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
