The Amarillo Warheads pasted the Ogallala Octopi, 14-1. Amarillo second baseman Stanford Logan had a big game. He went 4-6 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Manuel Muñóz got the win, improving to 3-1. He held the Octopi to no runs on 2 hits over 6.1 innings, while striking out 8 and walking 1. The losses continue to add up for Ogallala, having now dropped 8 straight.

Damian García went 2-4 with a double and was hit by a pitch for Amarillo. The 19-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the third. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch off Rick Hartsfield. It was his 13th RBI of the season.

"We understand we didn't play our best baseball," said losing manager Félix Cruz. "We'll shower it off and be ready to compete."
