Tulsa Bats Cold in 5-0 Loss
|
Plattsburgh beat Tulsa on the strength of starting pitcher Román Bravo's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-0. Bravo got the win, improving to 3-2. He gave up 7 hits and walked 1 over 8 innings. He allowed no runs. The Puffer Fish improved their record to 16-11 by beating Tulsa.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Stan Jans? The Plattsburgh designated hitter had a 2-run single in the top of the fifth inning to put the Puffer Fish on top, 4-0. For the game, Jans had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We came in and did what we needed to do," said Plattsburgh manager Mike Carlisle.
