The Crowley Cajuns topped the Germantown Uruguayans, 3-1, in USPL Low A action at Titans Ballpark. The game was highlighted by the performance of Crowley pitcher Bruce Willing. Victor Howell closed out the game, earning his 5th save. With this game in the books, Crowley is 19-8, Germantown 14-13.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the bottom of the seventh inning. That's when left fielder Alfredo Guevara, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2055 draft, hit a double. The Cajuns went on to win.
Guevara called the win a testament to his team's "tenacity."
