Tulsa got a big-time effort from pitcher Mitch Brooks, but it wasn't enough to keep the Shady Side Zoomies from winning the game, 2-1. Brooks threw 7.2 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. Shady Side reliever Joe O'Connor picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Lawrence Bailey was saddled with the loss. The win elevated the Zoomies to 16-12.

The Zoomies got a clutch hit from designated hitter Chris Fowler. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Zoomies.

"This is a resilient bunch," said Shady Side manager Joey Trifone.
