Manuel Méndez did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Fort Knox Centennial from being beaten, 6-4, to the Amarillo Warheads at Ballpark of Henderson. Méndez was 2-2 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Joe Jenkins was the winner in relief. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Floyd Schultz. The first-place Warheads have won 4 straight games.

Amarillo took a 3-2 lead on Th'dor Uncool's 1st double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Uncool hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Fort Knox pitcher Jack Jones visibly frustrated.

Amarillo manager José López said his team played a "no nonsense" game.
