The Tulsa Otters could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Peter Harris into a win. Instead, the Tijuana Toros prevailed, 3-2, in 10 innings. Harris threw 7.1 innings of 5-hit ball. Tijuana reliever Culley Porterfield picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Samuel Morris absorbed the loss. Tijuana bumps their record to 14-16 with the win.

Batting in the bottom of the tenth, 21-year old right fielder Jorge Méndez had a real shot to win the game. Tulsa pitcher Samuel Morris was determined not to let it happen. But with no outs, Méndez hit a run-scoring single. The Toros had a walk-off triumph.

"There's no quit in this team," said Toros manager .
