Starting pitcher Wyatt Bell pitched well enough to help the Beaumont Crossbeaus beat the Crowley Cajuns, 7-4. Héctor Rodríguez recorded the save, his 3rd. The Beaumont win streak is now 5 games.
The Crossbeaus got a big at-bat from left fielder Sylvain Bonnin. For the game, Bonnin went 1-2 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the sixth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Beaumont a 3-2 lead.
"The bar for us is not a particular opponent, it's ourselves," said Beaumont manager José Ortega.
