Puffer Fish Lose By a Run at Redwood
Redwood registered a win at The Zoo by beating the Plattsburgh Puffer Fish, 3-2. Pitcher Tom Young was one reason why the Rhinos triumphed. Young yielded 2 runs over 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 1, and struck out 9. His record improves to 2-1. The Rhinos raised their record to 13-18.

Redwood took a 3-2 lead on Arnold Jenkins's 3rd double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Jenkins hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Plattsburgh pitcher Dale Petherbridge visibly frustrated.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Young told the Redwood Gazette.
