Behind a fine performance from Tom Wood, the Redwood Rhinos knocked off the Germantown Uruguayans, 9-4. Wood hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2 for the Rhinos. The Rhinos improved their record to 21-12 by beating Germantown.

In the top of the eighth, with the game tied, Germantown allowed the Rhinos to go up, 5-4, on a Germantown error.

"We came out with clear minds and swung the bats well," said Redwood manager Joe Goff.
