The Redwood Rhinos picked up a win at Flint Park, knocking off the Flint Crush, 6-5, in 11 innings. On the mound for Redwood was right-hander Terry Ward. He played a pivotal role in the triumph. The win went to Li Hark in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Brandon Mitchell took the loss. With the win, Redwood upped its record to 17-16.
The most important at-bat for Redwood came in the top of the 11th inning, when center fielder Jordan Sercombe stroked a 1-1 fastball to center for a 2-run single, putting Redwood up, 5-3.
"The game of baseball will test you," said Robby Long, the Redwood skipper. "This one tested us."
