The Redwood Rhinos captured an easy win, 13-3, over the Plattsburgh Puffer Fish at The Zoo. Juan Vásquez led the offensive barrage, going 3-for-3 for Redwood. Sung-heun Kim, the winning pitcher, is now 4-2. He went 5.2 innings, allowing 2 runs on 9 hits, while fanning 4 and walking 2. Florian Umstaedter sewed up the save, his 1st.

With Redwood leading 4-1 in the bottom of the fifth, Vásquez hit a grand slam home run off Plattsburgh hurler Terry Campbell. It was the 5th home run of the season for Vásquez and put his team ahead, 8-1.

"This was one of those games you love to be a part of," said Vásquez.

The defeat makes Plattsburgh 17-16.
