In a low-scoring contest between the Crowley Cajuns and the Germantown Uruguayans, Spike Cornett was the X factor. The Crowley right-hander spearheaded the 3-1 win. Wu-shiun Ong collected his 11th save. The third-place Cajuns have won 7 straight games.

Crowley took a 2-1 lead on Tony Taylor's 7th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Taylor hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Germantown pitcher Doeke Pouwelse visibly frustrated.

"I feel like we're rolling now," Taylor told the Crowley Today."The dugout is coming alive."
