The Hicksville Hounds beat the Crowley Cajuns, 6-2, at Hound Pound. Preston Wilson, in particular, was impressive. He was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Hicksville reliever Gary Aldridge snagged the win, upping his record to 1-1. Millard Landry shouldered the loss. The Hounds now have a record of 17-17 with the win over Crowley.

With a runner on 1st and no one out in the bottom of the sixth inning, first baseman Anastasio Suárez delivered big for the Hounds. Hicksville was trailing 2-0 when he belted a 2-run home run.

"I thought we played a nice game," Suárez told the Hicksville Gazette. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
