The Redwood Rhinos racked up a win at Ballpark of Henderson, bumping off the Amarillo Warheads, 7-5, in 12 innings. Brian McDaniel, who started for Redwood, pitched effectively for his team. Pedro Garza snagged the win in relief. He goes to 4-2 on the season. John Allen suffered the loss. At 17-17, Redwood is in 6th place in the Premier Low A.

Redwood needed the clutch hitting of Jorge Martínez to seal the deal. The second baseman swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the 12th inning to put the Rhinos on top, 7-5. For the game, Martínez had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"Brian is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Redwood manager Robby Long.
