Fort Knox second baseman Harvey Keefe had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Keefe was 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times, even as Hudsonville beat the Centennial, 7-4. The second-place Flanderses have won 4 straight.

Hudsonville used a clutch at-bat from Adam Paynter to capture the win. The right fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Flanderses ahead, 4-2. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"The bar for us is not a particular opponent, it's ourselves," said Hudsonville manager Jacob Messer.
