Kiyonaga Kondo, who is tied for 2nd in the PA- in wins with 5, was in top form in a tight contest between Northwest Territory and Germantown. The Beavers right-hander helped his team beat the Uruguayans, 2-0. Kondo yielded no runs over 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 2 hits, walked 2, and struck out 7. His record improves to 5-1. Darryl Brady nailed down his 9th save.

The Beavers got an important contribution from first baseman Kyushichi Suzuki, who in the bottom of the first hit a knuckleball to left-center for a 2-run double. It was his 5th double of the season and put the Beavers ahead, 2-0.

"The old adage is true," said Suzuki. "Good pitching stops good hitting."
