Extra innings were needed to determine a winner at Hound Pound.

The Redwood Rhinos picked up a win at Hound Pound, knocking off the Hicksville Hounds, 4-3, in 10 innings. Starting pitcher Edgar Liriano played a key role in the triumph. The 4th-place Rhinos now have a record of 19-17.

Joe Hall chipped in for Redwood, stroking a crucial run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning. For the game, the pinch hitter was 1-1.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Hicksville manager Art Manning. "But we decided not to take it."
