Uruguayans Absorb 6-3 Home Loss
|
At Ballpark of Albuquerque, the Germantown Uruguayans and Hicksville Hounds were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
The Hicksville Hounds picked up a win at Ballpark of Albuquerque, knocking off the Germantown Uruguayans, 6-3. Starting pitcher William Byrne played a key role in the triumph. Raúl Guzmán collected his 6th save.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Shinji Kokawa? The Hicksville shortstop had a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Hounds on top, 5-2. For the game, Kokawa had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"A great team win and something real positive we can build on," said Kokawa after the game.
Hicksville, now 16-21, holds down 8th place in the Premier Low A.
