Uruguayans Lose By a Run at Fort Knox
The Fort Knox Centennial trumped the Germantown Uruguayans, 2-1, at Ballpark of Baxter. Fort Knox designated hitter Rudolf van Kastel was terrific. He was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. Fort Knox reliever Gabriel Diharce picked up the win, raising his record to 2-0. Mario García was tagged with the loss. Picking up his 3rd save was 21-year old left-handed pitcher Floyd Schultz.

Dane Kennedy had a big run-scoring double for the Centennial in the bottom of the third inning. With Fort Knox leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from 19-year old right-handed pitcher Mario García and swatted a double to left. It was his 5th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Centennial ahead, 2-0.

Kennedy attributed the win to his team's "focus and intensity."

Fort Knox has run its win streak to 4 consecutive.
