Octopi Defeat Cajuns, 9-7
The Octopi earned a hard-fought, 9-7 win in 11 innings at Titans Ballpark. To do so required withstanding a fine effort from Crowley pitcher Héctor Vega. Vega went 5.2 innings and allowed 1 run. The loss makes Crowley 12-27.

Ogallala used the timely hitting of Luis Torres to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Octopi on top, 8-7. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Baseball is a wild game -- a crazy game, sometimes," said Torres.
