Hudsonville Collects 6-4 Win

Hudsonville and Hicksville got after it at Hound Pound.
The Hudsonville Flanderses picked up a win at Hound Pound, taking down the Hicksville Hounds, 6-4. Starting pitcher Fa-tang Xiong was a big reason why. Hudsonville reliever Pi-ao Rui snagged the win, upping his record to 1-1. Dan Bozovic shouldered the loss. Yi-da Gui recorded the save, his 6th.
Hudsonville used a timely hit from Rory Carr to get the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Flanderses ahead, 6-4. It might've been his only hit, but it did the trick.
"I had one goal in mind," said Xiong. "Keep pounding the zone."
The Flanderses improved their record to 15-24 by beating Hicksville.
