The Hudsonville Flanderses defeated the Crowley Cajuns, 5-3, at Hudsonville Park. Hudsonville center fielder Bobby Gross had a superb performance. He went 1 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Cristóbal González picked up the save, his 13th. The Flanderses, at 25-15, lead by one game in their division.
Millard Lenny dealt the Cajuns a blow in the bottom of the third. Batting with the bases loaded and Hudsonville leading 1-0, Lenny, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2062 draft, hit a 1-0 curveball for a run-scoring single.
Lenny said his team "played with determination."
