Beat Goes On for Rhinos, Win 4-1 Over Centennial
|
Redwood used a superb performance from starting pitcher Brian Myers to down the Fort Knox Centennial, 4-1. Myers picked up the win for Redwood, going 5.2 innings. He gave up 1 run on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 5-0. Dennis Jones picked up the save for Redwood, his 7th of the year.
Early in the game, center fielder Tom Wood had a 2-run home run for Redwood. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Rhinos on top, 2-0.
"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Redwood manager Joe Goff.
This win makes it 7 in a row for Redwood.
