Hounds Suffer One-Run Loss at Redwood
|
The Hicksville Hounds wasted an inspired, 7.1-inning effort from starter Luke Little, falling, 1-0, to the Redwood Rhinos at The Zoo. The winner was Bobby Bridges in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Luke Little took the loss. Mark Sims was credited with the save for Redwood, his 12th of the season.
Redwood took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning, when Kevin O'Rourke hit a clutch solo home run to bring Rhinos fans to their feet.
"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Redwood skipper Robby Long. "I can't complain."
The Rhinos are now 20-21.
