José Silva, who is tied for 10th in the PA- in strikeouts with 50, had a strong outing for the Ogallala Octopi against the Redwood Rhinos at The Zoo. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 1-0 win. The winning pitcher was Silva, now 2-5. He tossed 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 9. The triumph makes Ogallala 13-30.

Ogallala used a well-timed hit by Chae-ho Chong to capture the win. The second baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Octopi ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"I had one goal in mind," said Silva. "Keep pounding the zone."
