Octopi Earn Late Win
|
The Ogallala Octopi picked up a win at Nebraska Aquarium, taking down the Ladue Rams, 3-2, in 10 innings. On the mound for Ogallala was right-hander José Silva. He played a central role in the triumph. Tony Malone, 1-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3.1 innings. The triumph makes Ogallala 14-29.
The Octopi got a clutch hit from pinch hitter Karl-Anthony Catibog. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to left-center, to win the game for the Octopi.
"José was bobbing and weaving the whole game," said Ogallala manager Félix Cruz.
