The Redwood Rhinos picked up a win at The Zoo, taking down the Ogallala Octopi, 3-0, in 11 innings. On the mound for Redwood was left-hander Declan Phelps. He played a central role in the triumph. The Rhinos saw their record improve to 21-23.

The climactic moment came in the bottom of the 11th for Redwood. That's when 21-year old right fielder Gisbert Clerq hit a 3-run home run off Randall Larkin to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.

Clerq described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.
