The Germantown Uruguayans got a brilliant performance from pitcher Bob McCann, who shut out the Bethlehem Angel Kitties, 2-0. McCann, who leads the PA- in innings pitched with 77.1, went the distance for Germantown. He gave up no runs on 1 hit. The 4th-place Uruguayans hiked their record to 24-21.

Cris Ortíz played the role of hero for Germantown. In the bottom of the ninth, he launched a 2-run home run off Luis Muñóz to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was the decisive blow.

"Bob was exceptional and he pitched with a purpose," said Germantown manager Ralph Titus.
