Crowley Rallies to 7-5 Win
|
Getting offensive support from John Cross, the Crowley Cajuns topped the Germantown Uruguayans, 7-5. Cross went 1-1 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Cajuns. The win went to Mike Butler in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Valentín Buitrugo took the loss. Phil McKinley picked up his 8th save of the season.
An important at-bat for Crowley came with no one out in the top of the ninth. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Cross hit a 3-run home run, which contributed to the Cajuns win.
"I know we have our doubters," said Germantown manager Jamie Scott. "But I still have high hopes for this team."
Crowley, with the win, climbs to 14-31.
