Centennial Win with Late Heroics
Kyung-chor Sip batted in 3 runs to lead Fort Knox to an extra-inning win over Beaumont. The final score was 4-3. Sip chipped in 1 single and 2 home runs. Fort Knox reliever Jody Ross picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Héctor Rodríguez absorbed the loss. The Centennial improved to 23-22.

Up to bat in the bottom of the tenth, 19-year old catcher Luis Villarreal had a chance to be the hero. Beaumont pitcher Héctor Rodríguez had other ideas. But with one out, Villarreal drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Centennial had themselves a dramatic win.

"This kind of game is tough on the heart," said winning manager Michael Malloy.
