Centennial Thwart Beavers, 4-3

Fort Knox and Northwest Territory duked it out and the Centennial came out victorious.
The Fort Knox Centennial handed the Northwest Territory Beavers a 4-3 defeat at Ballpark of Baxter. Second Baseman Harvey Keefe starred for Fort Knox. He went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Bang Liu earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 6 hits in 2.1 innings. He upped his record to 1-1. Jody Ross earned save number 1 this season.
In the first inning, Keefe had a grand slam home run for Fort Knox. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Centennial on top, 4-0.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Keefe told a Fort Knox Observer reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
The last-place Centennial own a record of 13-33.
