Rhinos Use Late Score to Top Cajuns, 3-2
|
The game between Redwood and Crowley is in the books, despite a little rain.
Brian Myers, who is tied for 4th in the PA- in wins with 6, was locked in. The right-hander led the Redwood Rhinos to a 3-2 win against the Crowley Cajuns at Titans Ballpark. In 7.2 innings, Myers surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs.
Redwood took a 3-2 lead on Pat Rawsthorne's 2nd home run of the season. The solo home run, which Rawsthorne hit in the top of the eighth, left Crowley pitcher Carl Gray visibly frustrated.
"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Rawsthorne.
The win puts the Rhinos at 31-15, while the Cajuns drop to 14-32.
