Warheads Snatch Late Win
The Amarillo Warheads took Hicksville pitcher Jesús Cortéz's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Ballpark of Henderson. The final score had Amarillo getting past the Hounds, 6-5. Cortéz went 6 innings and allowed 4 runs, striking out 7. The Warheads now own a record of 21-26.

The game ended with a bang. In the bottom of the ninth, with Amarillo trailing 5-4, Patrick Mathis jumped on a 0-1 curveball from Juliano Chianca for a 2-run home run, sending the Warheads to a walk-off win.

"This place sure got loud," said Armentario Holguin, the Amarillo manager.
