Tijuana Falls Again, 4-3
|
The Germantown Uruguayans picked up a win at Ballpark of Albuquerque, knocking off the Tijuana Toros, 4-3. Starting pitcher Cai-fei Teng was a big reason why. Teng yielded 2 runs over 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5. His record improves to 3-3. Earning his 1st save for Germantown was Keolamauloa Adoniia.
The Uruguayans jumped ahead in the bottom of the fourth. With one out, Jason White hit a 3-run home run off José Abonga, putting Germantown in front, 4-2. For White, it was his 3rd home run of the season.
"We haven't been playing to the level we want to play," said Tijuana manager .
The losses continue to add up for Tijuana, having now dropped 18 straight.
