Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Hicksville Hounds and Fort Knox Centennial.
The Hicksville Hounds beat the Fort Knox Centennial, 6-4, at Hound Pound. Hicksville center fielder Paulaui Olakeakua had an outstanding performance. He went 2 for 4 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Juliano Chianca earned the save for Hicksville, his 9th of the year.
José Valdés helped out the Hicksville cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the first baseman was 1 for 3 with a walk.
"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Valdés.
Hicksville is in 6th place in the Premier Low A with a record of 23-26.
