The Germantown Uruguayans topped the Amarillo Warheads, 8-4, with youngster Cris Ortíz playing a key role. Ortíz slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Uruguayans in the win. Picking up the save was José Ramos, his 1st. With the win, Germantown upped its record to 27-22.

With Germantown leading 2-1 in the top of the third, Ortíz hit a fastball from Kicham Sassi for a 2-run home run. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Uruguayans ahead, 4-1.

"Every time I go up there, I try and hit a ball hard," said Ortíz.
