Philadelphia turned a good effort from starting pitcher Gil Chapman into a win over the Shady Side Zoomies at Terriers Ballpark. The final score was 3-2 in 10 innings. The winner in relief was Denis Teissier. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. He now owns a record of 3-1. The game was at a stalemate until designated hitter Fernando Castro came to bat in the top of the tenth. Facing Shady Side pitcher Humphrey Weegerink, he hit a first pitch sinker for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Philadelphia on top, 3-2.
