The Germantown Uruguayans picked up a win at Nebraska Aquarium, topping the Ogallala Octopi, 5-2. On the mound for Germantown was left-hander Steven Ross. He played a principal role in the triumph. The Uruguayans improved their record to 23-31 with the win over Ogallala.

With two out in the top of the ninth, Iván Cervantes had a game-changing hit. The Uruguayans designated hitter slammed a run-scoring single off Michael Sheppard, making the score 4-2, Germantown.

"Steven kept his poise and got the job done," said Germantown manager Ralph Titus. "He was outstanding."
