Redwood used a superb performance from starting pitcher Terry Ward to down the Germantown Uruguayans, 4-1. Juan López earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. He upped his record to 2-1. Li Hark closed out the game, earning his 1st save.
Cecil Cox chipped in a 3-run home run for Redwood in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
"Terry is pitching with a lot of determination and a lot of fire," said Redwood manager Robby Long.
The 6th-place Uruguayans now sit at 27-27.
