The Crowley Cajuns withstood an impressive performance by Plattsburgh second baseman Juan Figueroa to defeat the Puffer Fish, 5-2, at Titans Ballpark. Figueroa was 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk. Crowley now has a record of 30-25 with the win.

Matt Wilson had a big run-scoring triple for the Cajuns in the bottom of the second inning. With Crowley leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he got a splitter from Román Bravo, who is tied for 10th in the PA- in innings pitched with 72.1, and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Cajuns ahead, 2-0.

"We need better swings, better at-bats," said losing manager Mike Carlisle.
