Centennial Lose By a Run at Northwest Territory
|
The Northwest Territory Beavers did just enough to sneak past the Fort Knox Centennial, 2-1, at Beaver Town. Northwest Territory pitcher Chirag Somu, in particular, had a standout performance. Sergio Pérez closed out the game, earning his 4th save. The Beavers raised their record to 22-34.
Northwest Territory first baseman Laakea Enuma landed a blow when he belted a 2-run home run in the bottom of the fourth. It was his 7th home run of the season. With it, the Beavers took a 2-1 lead.
"Bottom line," said Fort Knox skipper Justin Saginov, "we didn't play well enough to win."
