Octopi Snag 3-2 Win
The Ogallala Octopi did just enough to sneak past the Amarillo Warheads, 3-2, at Ballpark of Henderson. Ogallala pitcher Edgar de Krijger, in particular, had a standout performance. Ogallala reliever Edgar de Krijger got the win, raising his record to 2-0. Norman Ayres was tagged with the loss. The Octopi improve their record to 19-39 with the win over Amarillo.

Runs were few and far between in this one. So, Yoson Takahashi's at-bat with one out in the top of the 13th was crucial. The Ogallala left fielder hit a sacrifice fly, to give his team a 3-2 lead.

"It was a test of wills," said Félix Cruz, the Ogallala skipper. "I'm glad we came out of it with a win."
