|
Tulsa Otters starter Marcos Rodríguez pitched his team past the Hudsonville Flanderses, 4-0. In 6.2 innings, Rodríguez surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 11 and walking 3. He allowed no runs. Bill Young closed the game out for Tulsa, earning his 20th save.
Juan Rodríguez had a big 2-run home run for the Otters in the bottom of the second inning. With Tulsa leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a sinker from Fa-tang Xiong, who is tied for 7th in the PA- in wins with 5, and punished it. The result was his 5th home run of the season, which put the Otters on top, 3-0.
"We're just going to try to build off this win," said Rodríguez.
The win gives Tulsa a season record of 31-27.
