Trash Pandas Lose By a Run at Surprise
Opening day festivities have begun throughout the league. Fans of the Surprise Shockers were eager to watch Martin Humphrey square off against Roberto Becerra of the visiting Watford City Trash Pandas. In the end, the Shockers won the game, 3-2, with Martin Humphrey leading the way. Humphrey got the win, improving to 1-0. He gave up 8 hits and walked 2 over 8.1 innings. He allowed 2 runs.

Tanzan Murayama dealt the Trash Pandas a blow in the bottom of the third. Batting with the bases loaded and Surprise leading 1-0, Murayama hit a first pitch curveball for a 2-run single.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Murayama said.
