The Memphis Music defeated the Fort Knox Centennial in 10 innings, 5-4, in part because of designated hitter Pancho Santos. Santos went 1 for 2 with a double, 2 walks, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 for the Music. Memphis pitcher Greg Campbell earned the win, hiking his record to 1-1. Jody Ross suffered the loss. The 'W' lifts Memphis's record to 28-32.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Memphis second baseman Peter Hart, facing Jody Ross, had a run-scoring ground out. It gave the Music the 5-4 win.

"This was one of those 'not to be denied' games," said Memphis field general Omar Casteneda.
