Uruguayans Get Extra-Inning, 4-3 Win
The Uruguayans earned a hard-fought, 4-3 win in 11 innings at Ballpark of Albuquerque. To do so required withstanding a fine effort from Redwood pitcher Pedro Torres. Torres went 8.1 innings and allowed 3 runs. By defeating Redwood, the 6th-place Uruguayans improved to 29-31.

The Uruguayans got a clutch hit from first baseman Tony Pickett. In the bottom of the 11th, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Uruguayans.

"We didn't go down without a fight," said Redwood manager Joe Goff.
