Late Rally by Hounds Locks Up 6-2 Win
Behind a fine performance from Lynwood Carr, the Hicksville Hounds knocked off the Northwest Territory Beavers, 6-2. Carr went 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk for the Hounds. Hicksville reliever Javier Mejía picked up the win to move to 1-1. Aatos Niemikorpi suffered the loss. The loss makes Northwest Territory 36-24.

Hicksville used a clutch hit from Gene Ladd to get the win. The second baseman drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Hounds ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We had a nice day," said Hicksville skipper Art Manning.
