Rivera Now 1-0 After Subduing Baby Lakers

Opening day festivities have begun throughout the league. Fans of the Hicksville Hounds were eager to watch Todd Rivera square off against Gary Larsen of the visiting Bompton Baby Lakers. In the end, the Hounds won the game, 6-0, with Todd Rivera leading the way. Gerardo Trevino was credited with the save for Hicksville, his 1st of the season.
Rivera, the Hicksville right-hander, went 6 innings, allowing no runs on 2 hits. He collected 8 strikeouts.
In postgame comments to the Hicksville Citizen, Rivera said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
