The Hicksville Hounds scored a tight, 2-1 win versus the Northwest Territory Beavers at Hound Pound. Hicksville pitcher Jeff LaPierre held his own in the contest. The Hounds now have a record of 38-24.

Hicksville went up, 2-0, on Phil Jackson's 7th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Jackson hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Northwest Territory pitcher Pepe Valentín shaking his head.

LaPierre attributed the win to his team's "focus and intensity."
